Basic environment operations include managing Spider Writer projects, Visual SourceSafe projects, and Data Connections in the Environment sidebar.
The New Project command starts the
New Project Wizard,
which takes you through the steps of creating new projects.
The Open Project command displays a dialog box for opening an existing project.
The Reopen Project command allows for quick access to previously opened projects.
Close Project closes the currently selected Spider Writer project in the Environment sidebar.
Synchronize Project starts the
Synchronization Wizard,
which aids in Spider Writer project file management.
The Publish Project command starts the
Publish Wizard,
which publishes Spider Writer project files to a local directory structure or
to a remote web site.
The Open SourceSafe Project command displays the Visual SourceSafe Project Wizard. This wizard is used to connect Spider Writer to a SourceSafe project.
Close SourceSafe Project closes the currently selected Visual SourceSafe project in the Environment sidebar.
The Project Properties command displays the
Project Properties dialog

Environment sidebar.
The New Data Connection command starts the
Connection Wizard.
This wizard helps you create a connection to various types of databases.
The Remove Data Connection command removes the currently selected data connection from the Environment sidebar.
